Porto → London → Berlin → Lisbon

Hello, I'm Alex
I started out making websites for galleries and theatres in Porto, then spent five years inside product teams in London and Berlin — the designer who could open a pull request, and the engineer who cared about kerning.
Today I work independently with a handful of teams a year. I like messy problems, honest research and shipping small things often. Away from the screen I'm usually on a bike, or somewhere near the sea with a film camera.

Engagements from two weeks
I take on a few teams at a time, so every project gets my full attention — from the kickoff call to launch day.
01
Typical timeline: 4–12 weeks
End-to-end UX and UI for web and mobile — research, flows and prototypes you can put in front of real customers.
02
Typical timeline: 6–16 weeks
Tokens, components and documentation that keep teams fast and interfaces consistent, in Figma and in code.
03
Typical timeline: Ongoing
Production-ready React and Next.js, accessible to WCAG 2.2 AA and fast by default. I ship the designs I draw.
04
Typical timeline: 3–8 weeks
